Power line Dry Coolers

THERMOKEY presents a new series of liquid coolers (dry coolers) called “POWER-LINE” featuring various fin geometries in different modules using new materials and a new design. This newly born product, which is the result of Thermokey’s years of experience, is able of fully satisfying the needs of the industrial cooling sector. The combination of three factors such as fin geometry (differentiated tube diameters and special fins), proper fans and differentiated modules enable to achieve the following:

– Maximum capacity related to the heat exchanger dimensions.
– Optimized primary fluid pressure drops thanks to the use of various tube diameters within the dry cooler series.
– Possibility of an optimized product selection by using different module lengths.
– Respect of the most strict environmental norms in terms of acoustic pollution.

The declared capacities and sound pressure levels are according to the ENV1048 norm. 4 different fan diameters are used : 500, 630, 800 and 900 mm.; from 1 to 16 fans in single or double rows for capacities from 8,5 kW to 1120 kW at normal nominal conditions. In order to achieve the maximum strength of the unit, the casing is manufactured in oven-painted galvanized steel and polyurethane resins (RAL 7035). External use double speed 400/3/50 Hz fans are used to obtain 8 different sound pressure levels for each fan diameter.

A complete series of accessories are available upon request. Among these are:

– Phase cut, voltage step and inverter speed controllers.
– Standard electrical boxes and special versions on request.
– Custom made special or standard wiring-junction boxes.
– Fins in various materials (Aluminuim, Copper, Epoxy or Double Coated).

Power line Dry Coolers

From Thermokey’s R&D experience « Power-J », an innovative series of double coil dry coolers, has come into being. This new series is capable of fully satisfying the needs of industrial refrigeration and air – conditioning operators. The capacities of the new Power-J series range from 76 kW to 1585 kW measured at nominal conditions (ENV 1048 Norm). The extraordinary performance of these dry coolers is the result of an optimal combination of new high effi ciency aluminium fi ns, copper tubes and new fans which can develop high air fl ow with reduced current absorption and low sound emissions. The Power-J series is based on a modular design with a RAL 7035 oven painted galvanized steel housing and can use up to sixteen 900 mm fans with 8 sound power levels, with a single or double fan row.

The following customizations are available upon request:
– Speed controllers with phase cut, voltage step or inverter technology.
– Wirings and junction boxes can be standard or fi tted according to specifi c requests.

From Thermokey’s R&D experience “Turbo-J”, an innovative series of double coil condensers, has come into being. This new series is capable of fully satisfying the needs of industrial refrigeration and air – conditioning operators.

The new Turbo-J series has been designed, in order to be used with all environment-friendly refrigerants. The capacities of this series range from 100 kW to 1915 kW measured at nominal conditions (ENV 327 Norm).

The extraordinary performance of these condensers is the result of an optimal combination of new high-efficiency aluminium fins, 3/8” copper tubes with a special inner corrugation and new fans which can develop high air flow with reduced current absorption and low sound emissions.

The Turbo-J series is based on a modular design with a RAL 7035 oven painted galvanized steel housing and can use up to sixteen 900 mm fans with 8 sound power levels, with a single or double fan row.

The following customizations are available upon request:

Microchannel Condensers

THERMOKEY, leader in the production of heat exchangers, presents a series of new air-cooled condensers with an innovative microchannel heat exchanger.
The M3C series by Thermokey, built entirely in aluminium, sets new construction and performance standards.
Thermokey anticipated well in advance the time acknowledging the market needs to adopt more innovative high performance heat exchangers and is now ready to provide a full range of new generation air-cooled condensers with microchannel technology, designed specifcally for the HVAC & R. With the help of sophisticated software for analysis of fuid fow characteristics, Thermokey has developed a range of all-aluminium condensers with microchannel coil, innovative in the type of fns and headers, characterized by a section of aluminium tube of 32 mm and an increased pipe thickness.
The refrigerant inlet and outlet connections are still in copper to facilitate the connection of the condenser to the refrigeration system and copper-aluminium joints are protected by shrink wrap. The reliability, corrosion resistance, reduction of refrigerant charge, low air side pressure drop, modular design, easy maintenance and cleaning, together with the compactness, and the lightweight, allow the reduction of overall costs with more than 90% recyclability. Moreover, at the same power with conventional models, the “footprint” is smaller, the necessary air fow is lower and therefore the electrical power consumption is signifcantly reduced.
The M3C condensers are designed to work with most common refrigerants such as R404A, R507A, R134A, R410A, R290, …, R717. They can operate with a maximum working pressure of 45 bars, and are tested in the helium room up to 50 bar in accordance with CE 97/23 norm.

Blast Freezer Unit Coolers

THERMOKEY presents the Blast Freezer Unit Coolers.

This floor unit coolers series is ideal for all sectors where fast freezing of food is necessary, for example industries preparing meat, poultry, fish, bakery, dairy, ice cream, ready-to-serve meals, etc.
Blast freezer unit coolers are designed for applications with R404A, R507, NH3 and CO2.

The application range is:
– FLT series with R404A, from 14 to 71 kW (Te=-40°C DT1=5K)
– FLA series with NH3, from 16 to 99 kW (Te=-40°C DT1=5K)
– FLC series with CO2, from 18 to 107 kW (Te=-40°C DT1=5K)

The refrigerant charge is lower than comparable products on the market, which will have a positive effect both on your budget and the environment. To further support your budget targets, Blast Freezer Unit Coolers offer low electricity consumption and smart solutions for easy installation and maintenance.

The standard configuration has:

Light Cubic Unit Coolers

 THERMOKEY presents a new direct expansion unit coolers series designed for small and medium cold rooms for storage of fresh or frozen goods.

PH series fin spacing 4,0 mm for temperatures 15 ÷ 2°C
PM series fin spacing 6,0 mm for temperatures 2 ÷ -20°C

The heat exchanger coil is produced using a new geometry designed specifically for refrigeration, with high efficiency corrugated surface “TK” aluminium fins and ½” diameter copper tubes internally grooved.
The casing is made in RAL 9010 painted galvanized steel with some parts in ABS thermoplastic resin.
All models use single-phase 230V-50/60Hz fan motors with IP54 protection and internal thermalcontact. Four different diameters of fan motors are available: Ø300, Ø350, Ø400 and Ø450 mm with a number of fan motors from 1 to 4 for each single fan diameter.
Each fan is equipped with a connection box for electrical wiring.

The PH and PM unit cooler series can be equipped with:
– Electrical defrosting system
– Three-phase 400V-50/60Hz fan motors
– Air streamers

Radial Unit Coolers

CAPACITIES AND APPLICATIONS
This type of unit cooler finds application in the refrigeration field where is required a ventilation with external static pressure of 150 Pa, in order to allow air distribution through socks (textile, plastic or other material) and / or cold rooms and warehouses of large dimensions. The simplicity of assembly and the wide range of radial fans available allow a wide response to the market not only for the large external static pressure, but also for the low sound level expressed, particularly required in processing rooms.

HEAT EXCHANGER COIL
The heat exchanger is made with a new geometry, specific for refrigeration, with high efficiency corrugated of aluminum fins on the surface and with copper tubes with a diameter of ½“ internally grooved for direct expansion (D) and diameter of 5/8” for pump functioning (P).
Radial unit coolers DX: Series THT, TMT
THT Series: 4,5 mm fin spacing for high temperatures ≥ 2 °C
TMT Series: 7 mm fin spacing for medium temperature < 2 °C
Radial unit coolers Brine: Series THB, TMB
THB Series: 4,5 mm fin spacing for high temperatures ≥ 2 °C

CASING
The casing is manufactured entirely in protected aluminum and structured to enable excellent robustness and easy interchangeability for different functioning and defrosting systems.

FANS
All models are equipped with 50 Hz three-phase fan motors with a level of protection IP 54 and thermal contacts inside.
(6P63) = 6 poles Fan diameter 630 mm
(4P56) = 4 poles Fan diameter 560 mm
(4P63) = 4 poles Fan diameter 630 mm
The assembly of radial fans on the unit cooler is achieved by means of a cylindrical box containing the fan. The choice of the radial fan model will be subject to the market demand depending on the cooling capacity, the available external static pressure required from the sock and the noise level of the unit.

Industrial Unit Coolers

CAPACITIES AND APPLICATIONS 
Newly designed cubic and dual flow industrial unit coolers, suitable for all applications and HFC and HCFC refrigerants.
The capacities, air flow and electric ratings are declared, verified and certified according to the ENV 328 norms by the laboratories of the TÜV- Technische Überwachung Verein Institute in Bavaria, Germany.

HEAT EXCHANGER COIL 
The heat exchanger coil is produced using a new geometry designed specifically for refrigeration, with high efficiency corrugated surface “TK” aluminium fins and 1/2“ diameter copper tubes internally grooved for direct expansion (D) and 5/8” diameter for pump operation (P) and flooding (N).
The coil is tested to 30 bar, and all of its components are checked in accordance with the company’s stringent production specifications and quality control requirements.

IHT, IMT e ILT series Industrial unit coolers:
IHT series: fin spacing 4,5mm for high temperatures 15 ÷ 2°C
IMT series: fin spacing 7mm for medium temperatures 2 ÷ -20°C
ILT series: fin spacing 11mm for low temperatures -18 ÷ -35°C

DHS, DMS, DHL e DML series double flow industrial unit coolers:
DHS/DHL series: fin spacing 4,5 mm for high temperatures 15 ÷ 2°C
DMS/DML series: fin spacing 7 mm for medium temperatures 2 ÷ -20°C
All the unit coolers are pre-charged with dry air in order to ensure that the refrigerant circuit is free of humidity and perfectly clean.

CASING 
The casing is manufactured in aluminium, protected and constructed in order to provide maximum strength and simple interchange with different operating and defrosting systems available. The casing made of STAINLESS STEEL AISI 304 is available on request.

FANS 
All models use double speed three-phase 50 Hz fans with IP54 protection and internal thermalcontact.
The DHS/DMS series use high speed delta connection fans (4 poles).
The DHL/DML series use low speed star connection fans (6 poles). The effective performance in star mode is equal to Qn x 0,82.
Single-phase, single speed fan-motors and for 60Hz are available on request.

Brine Unit Coolers

CAPACITIES AND APPLICATIONS 
An innovative cubic and dual flow industrial unit coolers series designed for any type of application. This is a new series of products for brine (water and ethylene glycol) with the possibility to choose from 6 to 10 rows for each unit in order to use the right capacity and exchange surface.

HEAT EXCHANGER COIL 
The heat exchanger coil is produced using a new geometry designed specifically for refrigeration, with high efficiency corrugated surface “TK” aluminium fins and 5/8” tube diameter. The coil is tested to 17 bar, and all of its components are checked in accordance with the company’s stringent production specifications and quality control requirements.

BHT, BFT e BMT series Industrial unit coolers:
BHT series: fin spacing 4,5mm for high temperatures 15 ÷ 2°C
BFT series: fin spacing 6mm for medium temperatures 2 ÷ -10°C
BMT series: fin spacing 8mm for low temperatures -10 ÷ -20°C

Ammonia Unit Coolers

CAPACITIES AND APPLICATIONS 
These newly designed cubic and dual flow industrial unit coolers can be used for any application with ammonia refrigerant for working in pump mode and direct expansion. The declared capacities on our catalogue have been calculated according to the ENV328 norm from 8 to 123 kW at SC2 standard conditions in pump mode you must multiply the capacities by 0.9 for systems with direct expansion).

COIL
The heat exchanger coil is manufactured using a geometry specifically designed for refrigeration applications with corrugated fins type “TK fin” and 16mm stainless steel tubes type AISI 304. The circuit TIG welding is performed with an automatic process. The coil is tested at 30 bar, and all of its components are checked in accordance with the company’s quality system UNI EN ISO 9001:2000.
AHT, AMT e ALT series cubic unit coolers:
AHT series: fin spacing 4,5 mm for high temperatures 15 ÷ 2 °C.
AMT series: fin spacing 7 mm for medium temperatures 2 ÷ -20 °C.
ALT series: fin spacing 11mm for low temperatures -18 ÷ -35 °C.

ADHS, ADHM, ADMS e ADML series double flow Industrial unit coolers:
ADHS/ADHL series: fin spacing 4,5mm for high temperatures 15 ÷ 2°C.

Turbo J Condensers

GEOMETRIES:
Thermokey’s concept is to satisfy any type of application. A broad array of geometries are therefore available:
– 25×21,65mm with 3/8” or 5/16” tube
– 30×25,98mm with ½” or 3/8” tube
– 50×43,3mm with ½” or 5/8” tube
– 42×36,4mm with ½” or 5/8” tube

FINS:
The fins can be supplied in aluminium, copper, tinned copper, prepainted aluminium, double coated or in stainless steel AISI 304; they are provided of spacing rings, these guarantee a perfect fin spacing and contact with the expanded tubes. A special high efficiency corrugated fin is used for a higher performance if compared to normal corrugated fins; a special extra high efficiency louvered fin is also available.

TUBES:
The tubes are chosen according the specific use of the heat exchanger and can be in:
– Smooth Copper or internally grooved
– Stainless steel AISI 304

FRAME:
The aluminium frame (FeZn, stainless steel AISI 304 and brass are available) is built with an appropriate thickness all around the heat exchanger to assure a perfect protection of the finned pack, the copper bends and the headers.

TESTS AND QUALITY:
After the coils have been welded (in inert atmosphere) they are immersed in water to undergo a pressure test with dry air.
The production and quality control specifications are very strict and follow the norm UNI EN ISO 9001:2000, this guarantees each product with its own conformity certificate that comes along with every delivered heat exchanger.
